    her start date to introduce them to key leaders in their department.
  2.  Don’t Bury The Past – Brief the new employee on their predecessor’s team dynamics, interpersonal skills, strengths, and weakness.
  3.  Stress Comfort Over Speed – On Day 1 make sure the new employee has accommodations such as an office, working phone, and so on in place.
  4.  Manage Expectations – Explain to the new employee what constitutes success in their position and establish a time line for meeting specific goals.
  5. Assign a Mentor – Designate someone as a mentor or guide for the new employee’s first 30 days.
